Significance and Meaning of Rama Mantram

‘Sri Rama Rama Rameti Rame Raame Manorame; Sahasra nama tattulyam Rama nama varanane!’ The above Sloka is Lord Shiva's reply to Goddess Parvathi's question as to which mantra  can be easily  recited and its effect equivalent to Sahasranama. Lord Shiva's reply was Rama Mantram.  Rama sound is formed from 2 Beejaksharas (the seed syllables) Ra and Ma. "Beejakshara" means the seed syllable which stores that, which is indestructible. Akshara means that which is indestructible.The Beejaksharam "Ra" is from the Ashtakshari Mantra: "Om Namo Narayanaya" and Beejaksharam "Ma" from Panchakshari mantra "Om Namah Shivaya" Beejaksharam is the jeevan or life force of a mantra and if we remove that then that mantra becomes useless.From Narayanaya mantra if we remove Beejaksharam "Ra" sound then it will become Na ayanaya which means not good for chanting ,moksha etc.Same applies while r
